Playing with betta fish.
Anyone can easily play with koi betta
fish. Bettas are one of the most beautiful and popular pet fish in the world.
Many owners feel the same about their betta for their cats, parakeets, dogs, or
hamsters.
Bettas fishes, on the other hand, are brilliant.
They can easily sense the danger around them and hide in the best possible
place. Some thought these creatures were closely related to the cichlids, the
evolutionary tree, a unique and intelligent fish breed.
Just like humans, bettas are also well aware of
their surroundings. They calmly explore the environment, personal spaces, or
areas and often produce the most amusing sound of their personality and quirks.
They are analyzing everything for the first couple of days. When their place of
stay changes, they quickly adjust to it.
Teaching them tricks
When fish are not active or have nothing to play
with, they get bored and inactive. They do not swim around freely; they only
swim when needed. And also, their lifespan reduces significantly. Just like
humans, they need to be active most of the time.
Teaching these fish tricks is also suitable for
their health, body, and mind. Also, you and your family can enjoy the view. It
is relatively easy to teach them tricks, all you need is patience and a little
bit of persistence.
Like following your finger through tank glass, they
will follow sooner or later. Let them eat their food from your hand and swim
through a hoop, a small football for them to play football.
Teach them to jump out of the water or just let
their head out of the water to be petted.
How to teach them
Here are the ways that you can teach tricks to your
betta:
1.
Move your finger very slowly outside of
your betta tank or aquarium. And move it along with the surface. If not
helping, you can drop a blood worm of food pellet with a hook and carry your finger
along as you move that food with the other hand.
2.
Once your betta is better at following
your finger, without any food interaction, you can use any verbal commands with
your friends, just in case you are trying to impress them.
3.
From here, notice if the betta follows
your commands; if not, instead of using a hook, try using tweezers for food.
4.
Your betta will splash out of the water
for a treat or a bite of that food. This is when you introduce your betta to
eat from your hand.
5.
Just be careful to always have a secure
top or lid on the tank because betta fish for sale are natural jumpers.
